What is Development Sprint ?

Development Sprint is a activity (usually 1 to few days) of intensive learning and development on an open source project of your choice, in a team environment. It's a time to come together with colleagues, old and new, to share what you've learned and apply it to an open source project.

How to Write a Popular Python Library by Accident

TALK DESCRIPTION: A number of Python libraries that we've  written have become widely used. But they all started as personal  projects: tools or utilities that we needed ourselves. In this technical  talk we visit a number of case studies, both libraries of our own and  of others. Libraries that have gone on to be used in organizations and  projects such as Microsoft, Mozilla, Yelp, LinkedIn, SurveyMonkey, NASA,  USGS, OpenStack, and others.

Speakers: Audrey & Daniel Roy Greenfeld

Mr & Mrs Greenfeld are keynote speakers of PyCon Singapore 2016  from California, USA. They will visit Hong Kong after PyCon SG 2016.

Daniel Roy Greenfeld is co-author of the Two Scoops of Django series,  core developer of Cookiecutter, and husband of Audrey Roy Greenfeld. He  leads a number of open source projects, including Django Packages,  cookiecutter-django, and more. He teaches Django at Two Scoops Academy  and is a principal at Cartwheel Web. When he’s not working, he enjoys  reading, writing, flying drones, photography, and capoeira.
